I said in my last post i would update if anything major happened and it did. After a hugely disappointing African Nations Cup campaign where i was defeated in the Semi-Final to Ivory Coast, i decided not to continue for the World Cup Qualifying campaign and quit the post. To make matters worse i got beat in the 3rd/4th place match against Ghana much to the disgust of the fans. Despite the disappointment, the Cameroonian Football Association were satified with the teams performance but my heart wasn't in it enough to continue and can now focus on finishing the challenge with Real Sociedad. I managed to satisfy my hunger for International management but probably should have waited for a European team. Oh well, cest la vie!

Cameroon Stint Ends In Failure!

Do you think that maybe a lack of knowledge of the Cameroon squad players counted against you in the end?

Hi Glenn, yeh definitely a lack of knowledge didn't help and i didn't ever take up any options to watch the players in action for their clubs.
My main problem that i didn't mention in the post was i only had 1 right back in Reading's Bikey. The National Pool never had another one. To rub salt in the wound he played a 4 in the first match then got injured so for the rest of the tournament i played a left back on the right. That helped me make up my mind to resign.

Its really easy mate.
When you are on the screen you want to capture you press "Prt Sc" also known as print screen. Its usually to the right of the F12 key.
You then control alt and delete out of the game (but still keep it running) then open paint. You then paste the picture and save as something like "league table" or whatever it is your saving to a pictures folder on your computer.
Then open up Photobucket and upload the picture to that. It can be found doing a simple google search and you need to register. It then gives you a code to put on the blog and thats it!
Let me know if you have any problems and once your Blog is up and running let me know the URL and i'll put a link to it on this blog if you like. Cheers.
Too bad you quit, though, I don't manage countries anymore duo to the lack of knowledge and duo to the lack of interest to gain that knowledge. Club football first! :)
Yeh i know what you mean Vincent. I'm glad i wnet Cameroon but won't be rushing to get another job like that. It was quite funny because i was in 2 places at once. Real Sociedad had a game at exactly the same time as Cameroon so the computer made it look like i was in Egypt for the African Nations and Spain at the same time. Maybe something that will be fixed for FM2009 hopefully cos its not very realistic.

Unlucky mate, I can see why your disappointed with your performance - Cameroon are probably not quite as good as the other teams but they're still very good and it is annoying not to do better. Personally I like African national teams, so I don't know what it would be like not having much knowledge but I think it is more a matter of not choosing the correct tactics/style of play. Anyway, good luck if you get a European team, you'll probably do a lot better
Thanks for you comments mr. Your correct it is annoying not to have done better with them. If i could turn back time i would have studied the players more that i had at my disposal. I recognised most of the players names but never actually looked at stats properly. That made the whole excercise of going Cameroon pretty pointless so in that respect i regret it.
Yeah understanding your team is very important, particularly in national terms where you can't buy players so you have to make the most of the players given.
